A retired Hall County educator and coach in the Hall County School District has died.
John Corley served as principal at several county schools during his career – Brookton, Wauka Mountain, and Lula elementary and North Hall High School. He was also a math teacher at North Hall, where he was named Teacher of the Year one year and a Star Teacher four times. He also coached football, basketball, baseball, track, and golf, and was Athletic Director and Assistant Principal at the High School level.
A celebration of life for Corley, who was 84, will be held Thursday at 5:00 Thursday at Gainesville’s First United Methodist Church.
