Gainesville is hosting the third installment of this year’s First Friday Concert Series tonight from 7:00-10:00 but not downtown as usual but on the Midland Greenway.
“If traveling in the area, prepare for increased foot and vehicle traffic as concertgoers aim to snag early seating,” a city advisory says. “Prepare for elevated activity at nearby parking decks and look out for pedestrians entering/exiting these structures, with some boarding shuttles outside the Main Street and Gainesville North parking decks.”
Fireworks marking the country’s 250th anniversary begin about 9:30.
