Regular Ga. 400 commuter? Might want to add this to your calendar

Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) contractors will permanently close the State Route (SR) 400 northbound flexible shoulder lane, or flex lane, from just south of the Webb Bridge Road overpass to Exit 11, Windward Parkway, on December 13.

The approximately three-quarter-mile section will be permanently closed for construction activities as the SR 400 Express Lanes Project advances.

This will mean to loss of one additional lane during peak travel hours. Crews will remove the existing flex lane signage and striping and install temporary concrete barrier wall.

Four northbound travel lanes will remain open. Motorists will continue to have access to Exit 11, Windward Parkway, via the right lanes. Motorists continuing northbound on SR 400 should remain on the roadway and continue straight.
