Registration for the Hall County Library System’s (HCLS) Sensitive Santa program opens Friday morning at 8:00.
“Our Sensitive Santa program is for children with special needs who may need a more gentle Santa experience, away from the hustle and bustle of the mall or the overstimulation of other busy holiday events,” according to a posting on the system’s Facebook page.
Children with sensory sensitivities or physical accommodation needs, along with their families, can schedule a 15-minute, one-on-one session with Santa in a “calm, soothing environment.”
“No lines, interruptions, or hurrying will provide a comforting holiday encounter where children can get some quiet time to meet Santa, share their list, and allow parents to take pictures at the child’s own pace.” the posting continues.
