As autumn settles in and seasonal weather patterns shift, the American Red Cross is encouraging people to schedule blood and platelet donation appointments during October to help maintain a strong and stable blood supply. To that end, several days have been set aside in Hall County for special blood drives.
The schedule includes donation days in Flowery Branch and Gainesville:

10/29/2026: 1:00-6:00, Sterling on the Lake Clubhouse, 7005 Lake Sterling Blvd.
Gainesville
10/14/2026: 11:00-4:00, Hall County Government Center
10/16/2026: 10:00-3:00, Civic Center
10/30/2026: 10:00-3:00, Civic Center
Individual appointments can be made by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS, or using the Red Cross Blood Donor App.
To encourage participation, the Red Cross is offering incentives for donors. Those who give blood or platelets between Sept. 21 and Oct. 18 will receive a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice. Additional details are available at RedCrossBlood.org/Fall.
Donors who give between Oct. 19 and Nov. 22 will receive up to $20 in gift cards, including a $10 Amazon gift card delivered by email and 500 bonus points through the Blood Donor Rewards program.
