Father’s Day weekend may bring with it an early heat wave that may set records in some parts of Georgia.
“Unusually hot conditions are expected this weekend, so plan accordingly if you are going to spend time outdoors!” a National Weather Service (NWS) Facebook posting reads. “We could see temperatures approach or exceed 100 degrees both Saturday and Sunday with nighttime temperatures only falling into the 70s.”
In addition, in places, such as Gainesville and vicinity where actual temperatures like that are not forecast, trip-digit heat indices are possible. And Saturday is expected to be the warmest day of the weekend.
