The interruption of non-emergency phone service to Hall County’s 911 center Monday was apparently caused by a construction accident.
“I was told there was a construction related line break in the Gainesville area that caused this,” Zachary Brackett, the county’s Emergency Management and Homeland Security Director said Tuesday morning.
The outage lasted from about 3:30 Monday afternoon until about 11:00 Monday night. Emergency 911 lines were not affected.
