Ranking UNG’s Online Programs; no slowing in local warehouse projects; I-85 lane closure

*The University of North Georgia (UNG) has earned high marks in several areas in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings of Best Online Colleges. UNG ranked fourth among public universities in Georgia on the 2024 Best Online Bachelor’s Programs list, fourth on the Best Online Master’s in Criminal Justice Programs list, seventh on the Best Online Master’s in Nursing Programs list and eighth on the Best Online Master’s in Education Programs list.

*A record number of warehouse space in metro Atlanta is leading to slowdowns in construction, according to real estate services firm CBRE, but there’s no sign of a slowing in our area. Atlanta ended last year with 20.2 million square feet of warehouse space under construction, nearly a 55% decrease from the year prior.  Locally, a Texas-based developer recently filed an application for an $80 million, 750,000 square foot warehouse project at the corner of Big Creek Road and Lanier Islands Parkway and several other projects in South Hall and North Gwinnett are on the drawing boards.
