Police: Two suspects linked to several ATM robberies, including one in Forsyth Co.

The Gwinnett County Police Department Robbery Unit has identified two suspects accused of a number of ATM robberies causing the loss of several hundred thousand dollars. Among the robberies the pair has been linked to is one in Forsyth County.

GWINNETT CO. POLICE NEWS RELEASE:

“On September 9, officers assigned to the West Precinct were dispatched to a robbery at a bank on Jimmy Carter Blvd. in unincorporated Norcross. The officers learned that two suspects robbed the ATM technician as he was making repairs to the machine.

Four days later, on September 13, detectives learned of a similar robbery at an ATM on Hampton Green in Duluth.

On September 22, a similar crime occurred at a bank in Forsyth County. Detectives in Forsyth County coordinated with our Robbery Unit to share information on the incidents.

Detectives believed that the same two suspects were responsible for the crimes. Combining data from Flock cameras and social media, criminal charges were secured against Danzil Earl (age 30, Atlanta) and Ronnie Lewis (age 31, Texas).

Danzil Earl was arrested and booked into the Gwinnett County Jail on November 27 and charged with one count of Robbery. Ronnie Lewis has an active warrant for Robbery. He is currently not in custody. Additional charges could be forthcoming in other crimes as this criminal investigation continues.
