The Gainesville Police Department (GPD) is mourning the loss of its chaplain who died Wednesday.
GPD FACEBOOK POST:
“Deep sadness and heavy hearts fill the (halls) of GPD today with the passing of our colleague and friend, Chaplain Roderick Hughey.
We will all miss him more than words can express. He was not just our Chaplain but our good friend as well. He was there for us during the tough times and challenges. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and the community he served.”
