Plans for 392 new housing units are on the agenda for Monday’s Hall County Board of Commissioners (HCBOC) work session.
There are three applications the commission is being asked to consider.
One of them, if approved, would clear the way for a 100-lot subdivision on 38 acres on Swansey Road near its intersection with Circle Four Ranch. The request has already been tabled twice by the commission – on Sept. 10 and again on Oct. 24.
Another 302 residential units are planned on Benefield Road near Village South Drive. That application involves a 69-acre piece of land. It has also been before the commission already – on Sept. 24 – and was also tabled.
In addition, there are plans for 88 homes on 32 acres on Winder Highway near Plantation Drive.
And a two-lot subdivision is planned on Dorsey Drive near Dorsey Circle.
Also, on Mondy’s agenda is a request for an agri-entertainment venue on Ransom Free Road at Thompson Road.
Renovation of the third floor of the county government center is in the works and the commission will be asked to consider contracting for the architectural design of the project with a Duluth firm at a cost of $169,000.
