Mark Pettitt attended his final Hall County Board of Education (BOE) as a member of the board Monday night.
Petit, who had been on the board for six years, announced a couple of weeks ago that he plans to run for Hall County Clerk of Courts this year. Incumbent clerk Charles Baker has said he will not seek re-election.
Pettitt thanked his colleagues and his family and friends who were at Monday night’s meeting. Supt. Will Schofield thanked Petit for his “commitment to our students and for helping us strive to be the most caring place on earth.”
