First-time claims for unemployment insurance in Hall County in August were down 49.1% compared to a month ago. And, according to state Department of Labor (GDOL) statistics released Thursday, were down 40.4% compared to August 2026.
Statewide, there were also double-digit declines: 16.5% less than last month and 9.6% fewer than last year.
