Ongoing S. Hall drug investigation leads to more arrests, drugs

Investigators with the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) of the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) this week made three arrests as part of an ongoing investigation into drug activity in the Flowery Branch area.

HCSO NEWS RELEASE:

“Acting on information obtained during the course of the investigation, agents responded to a residence in the 4500 block of Union Place on Wednesday, Feb. 28. During a search of the house, agents found and seized more than 91 grams of methamphetamine and smaller amounts of other illegal narcotics. They also seized two rifles and a revolver.

As a result of the investigation, two male suspects and one female suspect were arrested.

Jeffery Duran Jones, 36, who lived at the residence, was charged with the following offenses:

·         Trafficking methamphetamine (felony)

·         Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute (felony)

·         Possession of Schedule IV drug (felony) – three alprazolam pills.

·         Possession of Schedule II drug (felony) – four oxycodone pills

·         Possession of marijuana (misdemeanor) –less than an ounce

·         Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon X 3 (felony)

·         Warrant for probation violation

Ashley Elaine McGhee, 37, Braselton ,was charged with the following offenses:

·         Trafficking methamphetamine (felony)

·         Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute (felony)

·         Possession of Schedule IV drug (felony) – three alprazolam pills.

·         Possession of marijuana (misdemeanor) –less than an ounce

·         Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon X 3 (felony)

Oscar Gonzalez, 37, of Gainesville

·         Possession of methamphetamine (felony) – approximately 1 gram of methamphetamine

Estimated street value of the seized drugs was just over $6,900. All three suspects remain in the Hall County Jail at last check.”
