One person was taken to the hospital as a result of an overnight fire at a house in the West Hall area.
“At approximately 3:00 a.m. on the 3100 block of Esther Dr. in Gainesville, Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR) responded to a split-level residential structure with heavy fire in the garage and main living area,” HCFR spokeswoman Kimberlie Ledsinger wrote in an email. “The bulk of the fire was extinguished quickly. One resident was displaced and transported to the hospital for further evaluation.”
The American Red Cross was notified due to the damage that occurred in the home.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
