One person was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta Saturday night after a car caught fire when it slammed into a tree in the East Hall area.
GA. STATE PATROL NARRATIVE :
“(Just after 6:00) Troopers from Post 6 responded to a single vehicle crash on Old Cornelia Highway near Whitmire Lane…
The vehicle was traveling on Old Cornelia Highway when it left the roadway and struck a fence then a tree. The vehicle caught fire, causing the roadway to be shut down for approximately one hour.
The driver was transported by life flight to Grady Hospital due to his injuries.”
A state patrol spokesman told 97.5 Glory FM Sunday that he did not have the name of the driver or the extent of injuries.
