Oakwood PD to collect old prescription drugs

The Oakwood Police Department will be participating with law enforcement agencies from the country Saturday in the federal Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Drug Take Back Day.

Officers will be at Sam’s Club on Mundy Mill Road 10:00-2:00. Most outdated/unused prescription medications are welcome (no questions asked) and will be “safely” disposed of, according to the department’s Facebook page. However, no syringes or liquid medications will be accepted.

Now, if it’s more convenient to you, Gwinnett Police will be in Buford at Coolray Field the same day from 10:00-2:00 for the same reason.
