Oakwood man charged with sexual harassment involving store clerk

A 71-year-old Oakwood man is free on $3,500 bond after his arrest over the weekend on charges of sexual harassment of a Walmart employee.

OAKWOOD POLICE DEPT. NARRATIVE:

“On 01/21/2023 at approximately 0722 hours, officers responded to the Oakwood Walmart in reference to a belated call about a sexual assault that occurred on 01/14/2023 between 0600 hours and 0700 hours. 

According to the victim, she observed him wondering around the store and approached him to see if he needed help. He refused her assistance and began following her around the store while she was working. 

Mr. Holcomb made several sexual inuendoes and eventually hugged her without permission. He stepped back and started to breath heavily and made the victim extremely uncomfortable. 

Mr. Holcomb then hugged her a second time intentionally gyrating his crotch against her leg and made additional sexual inuendoes. 

Mr. Holcomb was placed under arrest and transported to the Hall County Jail.”
