Oakwood convenience store robbed

Oakwood Police confirmed Tuesday that a convenience store on McEver Road was robbed over the weekend.

It happened about 7:00 Sunday morning at the Valero in the 4500 block.

OAKWOOD POLICE DEPT. NARRATIVE:

“On 4/17/2024 Oakwood (patrol) units were dispatched to Valero on McEver Rd for a “Burglary Report”.

Upon our arrival, the victim was across the street at the Shell gas station. The scene was secured and Oakwood (Criminal Investigation Division) was notified.

Camera footage was acquired from multiple locations of the suspect as well as a possible vehicle that
was in the area and consistent with the time frame of the robbery.

At this time, the incident is an on going investigation.”

The clerk, a 32-year-old man, was not harmed. The case is being handled as one of Armed Robbery, Possession of Dangerous Weapons During Crimes, and Kidnapping, according to the incident report.
