Oakwood Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that occurred Wednesday.
“…Officers were dispatched to…Prospect Point Drive…in reference to a 911 call/unknown circumstances,” Det. Lt. Stewart Webb wrote in an email. “Upon arrival, officers located a male and female with gunshot wounds inside the residence.”
The man was pronounced dead on scene, and the woman was taken to a local hospital where she was also pronounced dead.
“At this time, this shooting appears to be an isolated domestic incident with no further threat to the community,” Lt. Webb added, later saying it appears to be a case of murder-suicide.
The names of the pair are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
The call came in shortly before 7:00.
