The National Weather Service (NWS) has fine-tuned its weekend outlook, and it still looks like a lot of rain is likely in north and middle Georgia between now and Monday.
“Several rounds of showers and storms are expected each day Friday through Monday, with periods of heavy rainfall for parts of the area,” the Friday morning advisory says. “Uncertainty remains high regarding where exactly the heaviest rainfall occurs, but localized amounts up to 4 inches are likely…with widespread amounts of 1-2 inches,” especially between Saturday afternoon and early Monday.
There’s a 60% chance of 1-2 inches in Hall and surrounding counties.
Temperatures? The first part of the weekend will be warm, in the 80s, cooling into the 70s when the rains move in with cooler readings heading into the start of the new work week.
