The state patrol says there were no serious injuries in an early morning wreck Saturday on Georgia 365 just north of Gainesville. It happened about 6:15 and involved two vehicles after one driver fell asleep.
STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“…A white 2017 Toyota Tacoma, driven by Mr. Eduardo Nava Rojas (21, Baldwin), was traveling south on SR 365 (Cornelia Hwy) in the left lane south of White Sulphur Rd. A blue 2009 Nissan Rogue, driven by Ms. Patricia Arrah (38, Gainesville), was in the right lane.
The driver of the Toyota stated he fell asleep while driving to work. The Toyota traveled into the grassy center median before swerving back onto the roadway.
The Toyota struck the left rear of the Nissan with its front right. The Nissan began to rotate counter clockwise, coming to a final rest in the left southbound lane of SR 365. After striking the Nissan, the Toyota traveled off the west edge of the roadway and struck an embankment before overturning onto its roof.
Both drivers were taken to NGMC Gainesville with minor injuries. Traffic on SR 365 SB was able to flow around the crash scene.”
