No one was injured but two people were left homeless following an early morning fire Friday.
“At approximately 4:30 a.m., Hall County Fire Rescue responded to the 4000 block of Fincher Dr. for reports of a residential fire,” HCFR spokeswoman Kimberlie Ledsinger wrote in an email. “Engine 4 and Med 4 arrived on scene and found light smoke emitting from the garage. The crews made entry and discovered one room that was involved with fire. A water can was utilized for a quick hit on the bulk of the flames (which were) then extinguished with a hose to ensure all hotspots were located.”
Ledsinger said both residents got out of the house before firefighters arrived and the Red Cross was notified for the displaced residents.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
