No one was injured but five people were left in need of assistance following a Sunday afternoon fire in South Hall.
Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR) Division Chief Bobby Ogletree said it happened on Summerall Circle and that the first units that got there “found heavy fire from the garage along with two vehicles burning.” Chief Ogletree said firefighters were able to gain quick control of the fire and everyone at home at the time was out of the house by the time they arrived.
He added there was “heavy” fire damage to the garage and the two vehicles and heat and smoke damage to the rest of the house. Red Cross was called to help the two adults and three children who were needing assistance.
