U.S. News & World Report is out with its annual ranking of hospitals around the country and 17 in Georgia are on it, including Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville and Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming.
The top Georgia hospitals are:

No. 4: Northside Hospital Atlanta, Atlanta
No. 5: Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville
No. 6: WellStar Kennestone Hospital, Marietta
No. 7: Northside Hospital Forsyth, Cumming
No. 8: Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Johns Creek
No. 9: Emory University Hospital Midtown, Atlanta
No. 9: Northside Hospital Cherokee, Canton
No. 11: Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Fayetteville
No. 12: Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens
No. 12: Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center, Macon

It’s the 35th year for the magazine’s ranking. There were more than 5,000 hospitals that were evaluated on how they shape up regarding 30 medical and surgical services.
