NGHS recognized with Human Experience Award; Two from our area on Super Bowl rosters

*Eight health systems across the country, including Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS), and executives recently received Human Experience awards for “innovation and patient experience” from health IT company Press Ganey. They were cited for leading the way on “patient, consumer and employee experience, nursing excellence, and safety,” according to a news release. NGHS was chosen for the High Reliability Organization Foundation Award.

*Five former UGA players are on this year’s Super Bowl rosters, the second most of any college.  And at least eight men who played their high school ball in Georgia are due to suit up Sunday, including two from northeast Georgia, Mecole Harmon (Kansas City) who played for Elbert County High School and Charlie Woerner (San Francisco) who starred for Rabun County High.
