The new Kroger Marketplace in Oakwood is set to open this fall, according to theshelbyreport.com, representing a $49.2 million capital investment.
The store will span more than 123,000 square feet and feature a Starbucks kiosk, sushi kiosk, Murray’s Cheese Shop, expanded household, baby, toy, and apparel departments, a full‑service pharmacy with drive‑thru, online ordering with pickup, a fuel center, and Kroger’s “Fresh for Everyone” décor. The fuel island at the store is already open.
Groundbreaking took place last September.
Kroger recently opened new Marketplace stores in Athens and Hoschton, with another planned opening later this year in Bethlehem.
