*A Gwinnett County man has filed another suit in his continuing effort to block the creation of a new town in Gwinnett just a few miles from the Hall County line. Stephen Hughes’ latest suit was filed earlier this week and challenges the state law creating the new city subject to its approval by voters. That referendum passed during the May 21 General Election primaries. Hughes’ other suits, one of which was filed just days before the referendum, were dismissed. *A woman who worked for Hall County for 33 years is suing the embattled State Court Solicitor and the county. Michelle Daniel, who worked for Solicitor Stephenie Woodard for three years, claims in her suit that Woodard retaliated against her because she talked to state officials during the theft investigation of Woodard.
