New Forsyth official; Gville man to head state board; Riverside gets new President

*Jake Hill has been named Director of the Forsyth County Department of Building & Licensing. The appointment was effective Monday. Since 2021, Hill has served Forsyth County in the Department of Building & Economic Development in the roles of Chief Building Official and was named Deputy Director of the department in two years ago.

*David Herring of Gainesville is the new Chairman of the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles effective July1. Herring has served on the board the past six years. He’s just completing a term as its Vice-Chairman.

*One day after Riverside Prep President Stanley C. “Stas” Preczewski announced plans to retire July 1, the school’s board of trustees named his successor. He’s Dr. Robert Brittain “Britt” Daniel, who currently services as Executive Vice-President, a post he’s held the past nine years. Daniel has been with Riverside more than 25 years.
