New Elachee Bridge may open next week, but first…

The new Elachee Road Bridge over I-985 may open next week but first get set for another round of lane closures.

Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) and contractor E.R. Snell Contractor Inc. have constructed a new bridge over Interstate-985 at the Elachee Preserve. WHEN: The traffic shift will occur on Monday, February, 12, 2024. Motorists can expect evening lane closures on I-985 NB/SB Monday through Saturday 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
