With stormy weather in the forecast for part of the weekend, you may be wondering what adjustments are being made, if any, to the scheduled Mule Camp Market which is slated to begin today and run through Sunday. Well, the sponsoring Gainesville Jaycees are posting updates on the club’s Facebook page.
8:00 P.M. THURSDAY UPDATE:
For today, the posting notes, the weather “looks great” and there are no concerns. The festival is scheduled to begin at 10:00 as scheduled.
Then, comes some adjustments.
“Saturday: Scattered Storms in the morning/scattered showers in the afternoon. The main concern is the sustained winds/gusts. Our team will be walking around Camp on Friday making sure that vendor tents are secured.
“Sunday: Scattered Showers in the morning, clears up throughout the day.” And the Jaycees are making some behind the scenes adjustment for the vendors starting tonight.
“We are planning to open up the (Midtown Greenway where the event is being held) after 9pm on Friday to allow vendors who want to pack up their stuff before Saturday the opportunity to do so. That same opportunity will be presented on Sunday morning at 9am for those vendors to set back up.”
And the posting closes with mention of a possible extension of Sunday hours “depending on how Saturday turns out.”
