*Former Congresswoman Majorie Taylor Greene is voicing her fears ahead of the 2028 presidential election. She shared her thoughts in an interview with Alex Jones saying President Trump may use the war in Iran to try to cancel the election. Greene pointed to comments Trump made during a 2025 meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy where they discussed postponed elections in Ukraine due to the ongoing war with Russia. While Greene acknowledged that the president’s remarks were made in a joking manner, also called the idea “incredibly dangerous.”
*The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is now checking for Ebola. Officials say travelers coming from Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda or South Sudan will need to go through enhanced screenings for the virus. George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston will also start screening next Tuesday. Authorities are asking passengers to be mindful of the extra time needed to get through security during the Ebola outbreak.
*Authorities say nine inmates were injured in a “gang-related” altercation at Dooly State Prison, sparking a lockdown. The fight was contained to two dorms, and all involved inmates were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 13 WMAZ reports seven inmates have returned to the facility, and no corrections staff were injured. All Georgia Department of Corrections facilities are on lockdown as a precaution.
