A Flowery Branch man suffered what Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies classified as serious injuries in a South Hall County motorcycle wreck Tuesday morning.
They responded to the crash on Capitola Farm Road at approximately 6:40. The rider, Justin Bennett Jackson, 52, reported a shoulder injury. Hall County Fire Rescue personnel evaluated Jackson and transported him to the hospital for treatment. Jackson was wearing a helmet.
According to the initial investigation, Jackson was traveling northbound on Capitola Farm Road when his 2023 Yamaha YZF-R1 traveled onto the right shoulder. He attempted to keep the motorcycle upright, but the rear tire slipped, causing the motorcycle to rotate. The motorcycle high-sided and struck the ground. It tumbled approximately 34 feet, struck a fence post and came to rest. The wreck occurred approximately 660 feet east of Hog Mountain Road.
Deputies issued Jackson a warning citation for failure to maintain lane.

A motorcyclist was seriously injured when his bike crashed early Tuesday morning on Capitola Farm Road near Flowery Branch.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) says the accident happened about 6:15. There were no other vehicles involved. Justin Bennett Jackson was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, according to the report.
No other information was immediately available.
