A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident just south of downtown Gainesville Sunday afternoon. The state patrol released details of the crash late Tuesday afternoon.
STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“…At 1:40pm, A black Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling southbound on EE Butler Pkwy in the right lane. A white Cadillac Deville was leaving a private driveway onto EE Butler.
The motorcycle changed lanes from the left to the right. The Cadillac entered the right lane and made contact with the motorcycle. The rider was thrown from the bike and suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to NEGA Gainesville for treatment.
The occupants of the Cadillac were uninjured. …The southbound lanes of EE Butler from Atlanta street to Summit street were closed for 2 hrs for the crash scene investigation.
…charges are pending at this time.”
