FORSYTH CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE:
“On February 15, 2024, at approximately 2:40pm, the Forsyth County 911 Center began receiving calls about a crash at the intersection of Bethelview Road and Olde Town Lane.
It was determined through the investigation and witness statements that a motorcycle driven by 23-year-old Peyton Kirby of Cumming was southbound on Bethelview Road approaching the intersection of Aaron Sosebee Road/Olde Town Lane. A 2022 Hyundia Genesis SUV was traveling northbound on Aaron Sosebee Road.
According to witness statements, the SUV failed to stop at the stop sign and proceeded into the intersection striking the motorcycle.
Mr. Kirby was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
