Most of Ga. still officially ‘drought free’

There was little change in the status of the drought in Georgia over the past seven days, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor.

Most of central and south Georgia remain drought-free but conditions in north Georgia range from “extremely dry” to “moderately dry.” Conditions in our corner of the state range from “moderately dry,” which includes Hall County, to “extremely dry” in several counties along the Tennessee and North Carolina borders.
