*More Georgia law enforcement officers are being fired for allegedly misusing license plate readers. A lieutenant, an investigator and a deputy for the Richmond County sheriff’s office were all arrested yesterday for oath of office violations after being accused of using Flock camera information for personal use. They were immediately terminated from their jobs. More than a dozen officers around the state have now been fired over the summer for similar accusations.
*Investigators are trying to figure out how three people died inside a north Macon home. WMAZ reports a hazmat team was called out to process a white substance at a residence on North Spring Court after a woman and two mean were found dead Friday night. Bibb County’s coroner is still awaiting toxicology results. All three were considered to be friends.
*A former Washington County solicitor under investigation by the GBI will not face criminal charges. Michael Howard resigned last summer after he was scrutinized over his dismissal of some DUI cases. The county’s DA says no evidence was found of kickbacks or schemes in the case.
*Woodstock is placing regulations on the use of motorized bicycles. A recent ordinance passed by the city council bans e-bikes from being used on sidewalks and in certain parts of downtown. Also, only anyone 18 or older can use them in parks and on trails and at a top speed of 20-miles-an-hour.
