Monthly Gville building permit report

Gainesville issued 50 permits for new single-family homes last month and ten for new commercial structures.

The monthly report from the city shows that the 50 new houses are expected to cost $9.6 million; the new commercial construction, $15.9 million. In addition, there was $8.1 million worth of permits for commercial additions and repairs approved and $1.4 million worth for residential additions, repairs and remodeling.

When you factor in all the other permits that were approved – electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, etc. – the total comes to 196 for $45.4 million in construction.
