*Gainesville Police are investing a case of child molestation that reportedly occurred last year but was only recently reported to authorities. Spokesman Kevin Holbrook said Monday Christopher Lewis, 37, was arrested on two counts of child molestation “after a female stepchild brought forth allegations of molestation from 2023.” Lewis is being held without bond in the Hall County Jail.
*And Lt. Holbrook says officers are investigating a reported scam that a 42-year-old woman says cost her more than $3,000. She says she “got phone call (from someone) claiming to be a deputy (sheriff) needing money for a warrant (and) made a deposit for $3,400.”
