Moderate drought now covers all of NE Ga.

Every county in northeast Georgia is now in the throes of a moderate drought. In fact, all if north Georgia is now that way as well as is the western part of the state and every county bordering Alabama.

Most of the rest of Georgia is slightly less-dry, considered to be in an “abnormally” state of drought. But there are small pockets of the state where things are at their worst – “severely” dry. Only all of southeast and part of southwest Georgia are considered drought-free.
