The cause of a mid-morning fire Tuesday in the 3300 block of Bluffton Drive, remained under investigation early Tuesday afternoon. Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR) got the call at 9:45.
HCFR NEWS RELEASE:
“The caller said an RV located about ten feet from a house was on fire. Engine 1 was first on the scene and discovered a fully involved RV with extension to the two-story home nearby. The flames spread to the surrounding grass and reached the side of the residence, extending into the attic. Crews worked to extinguish the RV, simultaneously working to locate the flames that spread into the home.
One crew entered the residence and began a fire attack in the attic. Unfortunately, the entire attic was damaged by the flames, but HCFR personnel were able to knock down the fire quickly after locating the fire.
The American Red Cross was notified for three adults, two children and four dogs that were displaced. The RV is a total loss, and the home obtained extensive damage to the attic. The cause is unknown and the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating at this time.”
