*Radio veteran Joel Williams of Gainesville was inducted Saturday night into the Friends of Georgia Radio Hall of Fame. A Habersham County native, Williams is currently with WCON in Cornelia, but for a number of years was a fixture at WDUN in Gainesville.
*The victim of a fatal traffic accident in Baldwin last weekend has been identified as Ashlie Robertson 41, of Cornelia. The accident occurred on Gainesville Highway near Dallas Street and involved a head-on collision between an SUV, driven by Robertson, and a tractor-trailer.
