LTC students at state Skills USA meet; White House responds to comments by Clyde, others; Lakeshore Mall arrests

*Each year, Lanier Technical College’s (LTC) best and brightest compete in the Georgia Post-Secondary state SkillsUSA Competitions. Recently, competitors from around the state met in Atlanta to compete in many of the career-based academic programs offered by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG). In all, Lanier Tech had nearly two dozen students place in either the gold, silver, or bronze medal categories. *The White House on Monday would not comment directly on criticism directed at the President by 9th Dist. Congressman Andrew Clyde, Gov. *Gainesville Police report the arrests of three people at Lakeshore Mall early Sunday on charges of Prowling and Loitering. “…three people at the mall around 1am acting in a suspicious nature,” spokesman Kevin Holbrook wrote in an email Monday afternoon. Arrested were an 18-year-old woman, a 28-year-old man, and a 40-year-old man.
