Longtime Gainesville doctor retires

Monday marked the end of an era in the Gainesville medical community.

Dr. Bill Manus officially retired after nearly 50 years of practicing family medicine in Gainesville, the last 14 of them at Longstreet Clinic.

“A healthcare hero to families for decades, he’s fittingly pictured here holding his recent UH Hero Award,” according to a Longstreet Facebook posting. “We wish to thank Dr. Manus for his dedication not just to his patients and the community, but to those of us who had the pleasure to work alongside him. Enjoy your well-deserved retirement!”
