Four members of the HCSO (Hall County Sheriff’s Office) were part of the recent Featherbone Communiversity Masters of Safety presentation which was held at the Brenau Downtown Center.
Deputy Nick Adams, Investigator Jacob London, Lt. Chris Tempel and Deputy Julie Webb were part of a panel that included the Gainesville Police Department, the Gainesville Fire Department and other public safety personnel.
Local high school students had the opportunity to hear from the panelists about their professional and personal experiences on the job.
The panelists discussed everything from working patrol jobs to the duties of a K9 handler to drug investigations as well as the current dangers and trends with social media and real-life experiences. Officers also participated in breakout sessions where they got to spend some time with smaller groups of students.
