Local attorney disbarred

The Georgia Supreme Court has approved a northeast Georgia attorney’s petition to be disbarred.

John Carl Huber asked for the disbarment following his conviction on several charges in Hall County Superior Court, admitting that due to his felony convictions, he violated the state bar association’s Georgia Rules of Professional Conduct. He was living in Hoschton at the time the charges were filed.

A member of the state bar since 2013, Huber was convicted of six felony counts and five misdemeanor counts on March 1, 2022, according to the supreme court’s opinion.
