There has been little change in drought conditions in Georgia over the past week.
The U.S. Drought Monitor (USDM) says the parts of the state suffering drought conditions remains at about 85 percent, including all of northeast Georgia. The only area that is considered drought free is in southeast Georgia along the Florida line.
Drought conditions did worsen the past seven days in the Statesboro and Carrollton areas.
The level of Lake Lanier, meanwhile, is down two-tenths of a foot from a week ago. It was 1068.0 Friday morning.
