Hall County recorded a decrease in first-time applications for unemployment insurance in February compared to January.
The state department of labor (GDOL) says they were down 54.5 percent. Compared to February a year ago, though, they were up 47.5 percent.
Claims statewide were down 40.3 percent over the month 19.1% over the year.
