*Gov. Brian Kemp has been elected chairman of the Republican Governors Association (RGA). The election took place at the end of the association’s annual conference. Kemp expressed his commitment to working with fellow GOP governors and President-elect Trump to advance conservative policies. The transition comes as speculation grows about Kemp’s political future, with potential challenges to Senator Jon Ossoff or a White House run in 2028.
*A hand-count audit of Georgia’s election isn’t changing much in the presidential results. The Secretary of State’s Office reports that eleven votes were changed for President-elect Trump due to human error. Trump won the state by more than two-points.
*Jane Fonda is still using an Atlanta fundraiser to try to reduce teen pregnancy rates in Georgia. The former actress organized the Empower project and a fundraiser was held recently. The event has been held for nearly 30-years and raised around $1.2 million. The money will go to help the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power and Potential.
