Habersham County school administrators say a juvenile had a loaded gun at last Thursday’s Habersham County Middle School’s football game, according to a nowhabersham.com report.
According to a statement issued by Director of School Safety/Chief of Police Murray Kogod, a school resource officer (SRO) was alerted to a juvenile spectator who appeared to be carrying a handgun. A School Resource Officer (SRO) who was working at the game took custody of the juvenile and “secured the loaded weapon and the juvenile without incident,” the report says.
Though no direct threats were made, Kogod did not say what the youngster’s motive was.
